Our Story

Amani protects clinical autonomy and brings calm execution to the operational side of dentistry.

Our team has decades of combined experience running dental offices from the inside, across both executive operations and treatment coordination. That means we understand the practice as a system, and we understand the patient decision moment, not as theory, but from experience.

Stefan Sharma

CEO

Stefan began his career in New York finance before realizing he wanted a more direct connection between his work and the people it helped.

Stefan founded MedPut with the goal of improving affordability of out-of-pocket dental expenses and access to care. Realizing that there was a gap in dental treatment coordination, he subsequently launched Basis: leveraging technology and patient finance to help dental practices improve case acceptance. Stefan worked closely with Basis customers’ leadership teams to solve operational challenges, ultimately leading to exiting Basis and launching Amani.

Amani is focused on increasing engagement between patients and practices to help practices deliver optimal patient care while maintaining clinical continuity and operational simplicity.

Natalie Melear

COO

Natalie, with over two decades in the dental industry, has progressed to Chief Operating Officer, overseeing multiple dental and sleep entities. She holds a Bachelor’s in Advertising, PR, and Marketing, and an MBA in Leadership and Management.

Her experience covers clinical coordination and business operations, encompassing the full spectrum of running a large dental practice. She understands the day-to-day realities, from walk-ins to team burnout, and the widespread impact of operational decisions.

Natalie is passionate about empowering practice owners through streamlined operations, enhanced efficiency, improved patient experience, and strong office culture. Her operational expertise was pivotal in forming Amani DSO, focused on sustainable growth, scalable systems, and well-supported teams.
